Unhappy trouble with new captive600premium files

Hello. If anyone could help me: I have downloaded the December 14th Captive600premium files, but my receiver is now turning off after it says "boot". Now it wont work at all.

The files seems to be working fine, sounds like you will need to load the factory file so that you can fix your receiver, then reload the new fix.

Have you unzipped the file before loading ?

Cool

Yes, I unzipped the file before transfering to the receiver. I just talked to a neighbor this morning (who has the same receiver) and he says the same thing happened to his receiver with the same Dec.14 files. !!! I will try reloading the original settings and see what happens.

Unhappy still problem with receiver.

Ok. I cannot transfer any files (not even the original reset files), because the problem is: when I turn on the receiver, it says boot and turns off again. It does not give the option to put in stand-by mode! And this problem started when I downloaded the December 14th new files to the receiver.

Can someone tell me what I can do to set the receiver into stand-by mode before it turns off by itself ????

Try this and if this helps.Let us know

1 STOP don't try to put the correct bin on
2 power off the receiver
3 turn on the power from the rear at the same time hold the front power button the receiver will go to boot mode and thats what you do want
4 load the factory bin
5 load the CORRECT bin this time
6 activate patch
7 setup antenna and download channels

Try loading the factory file, that way you will get your receiver fixed up. Then we can go from there.

You can try to do what Ekim suggested it worked many times before.
