I did scan 119 again and the channels are all wrong and scrambled
the only one that works is angel.
I think i did everything right. I have downloaded files before with no problem.
After 3 years with this and i still feel very much a newbie.

Hi flora,

You can download a channel list ( http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/showthread.php?t=1250 ) and that will program the channels for you, but i don't know this will work on a clone receiver.

So you may be safer to scan the channels. Try the new fix file and let us know if that helped.

By doing factory default you take your receiver to " virgin " state, the way it was when it was brand new. And when you load factory file that populates all your sat's and reset all the options. I know you already did this but might have to redo it. Factory default, load factory file, load latest fix then the channel list. Try doing a blind scan instead of a regular scan, make sure you set up the ports correctly and let's see if that works.

I was successful in getting 119 to work fine, but not 110 or 61.5.
I factory default again and cloned it. It works fine now. no channels blinking.
Thank you for your patience. Do you think the problem might be that I cloned
it to begin with?
If I get a new one in the future is it better to use the factory file and scan
instead of cloning?

Very glad to hear you finally got it working as we were running out of options here Yes instead of cloning a receiver just load factory file then the latest file and rescan. Cloning and Jtagging a receiver is the last thing to do, i would only suggest that if everything else fails. Happy testing.
