This guide is for the Captive works 700 & 800. it will work with the UH-100 dongle or the 2011 dongle.

Load the latest file into the receiver and follow the prompts; reboot as asked.
CW 800 file:
Captiveworks Japan CW800_Japan_V2.66
CW 700 file:
Captiveworks Japan CW700_Japan_V2.66_20110804.bin

Plug the USB dongle into the USB port of the receiver. Then connect the dongle to your router with an Ethernet cord. Reboot by turning the switch at the back off for a second and then on again. While the machine is booting you should notice a USB Ready message.

Enter the menu, then enter System Settings. First select OSD and turn Auto Roll off at the bottom of the page. Then exit OSD and enter System. In this menu Change Channel NO. to SID and turn Auto TP on.

Then set your antenna settings according to your setup and scan satellites

Re-enter Main menu, select Accessories then select Network Setting. (Network setting replaced the setup wizard when the dongle is unplugged
In Network settings select IP info, Here Your IP address fields should be populated and you should see Net Status: Connect. Server Status Should read Disconnect [0] at this point.

Exit IP info and enter Server Setting. In this menu use your left and right directional buttons to select different server slots and the up and down to adjust each server slot.

For Public. Select 1(Public) and input your code into the User Name row. Press the green button to enable. If everything is input correctly you should see Connect CAID[1816] (this is the southern provider) Press the right directional arrow and you should see 2(public). Input the same code into the user name row. Then press the green button to enable. If everything is input correctly you should see Connect CAID[1815] (this is the Northern provider).

There are 4 public slots and 36 private slots. You cannot input private server information in the reserved public slots. The server information is embedded in the file and cannot be changed.

The blue button toggles between public and private, you can’t run both with the current files.

After you see Connect CAID every where you want to re-enter IP info. Now you should see Server Status Connect and the number of servers your connected to will be seen in [square brackets]

Exit the menu and tune into a known working channel

Press F1 + 0000 = patch enable/disable toggle Patch must be enabled
Press F1 + 5555 = Card Sharing ECM Enable/disable toggle Card sharing must be enabled

Wait for about 20 minutes or less and enjoy TV
