Default Nano2 to I-Link Conversion (with pictures)

Credit goes to wildman25 for this guide.

Nano2 to I-Link Conversion (with pics)

Many are changing their receiver over now, and here is how I did it to see how easy/hard it is. If you didn't have any problem loading nano2 files, you shouldn't have any problems.

First, I loaded the factory file 8.10 (boot), you should know the procedure to do that already
Factory default
Then I loaded 1.29 (sw) as before, you know how to do this
Factory default
Now, find NANO2_TO_ILINK.NPN and load it sw (see pic 1 and 2)
Factory default
Load IR2x0_2.84.ups as software also (see pic 3 and 4)
Factory default

Utility -> System Information and check sw (see pic 5)
Accessory -> Emulator and change EMU to off (see pic 6)
Options -> Network -> ip setup and select auto , then apply (see pic 7)
Exit once Back to Network And select Net Application
Change type to Dream (see pic 8)

Each of the menus you need to change for user/pass/server/des will open to a keyboard of sorts to enter info.
You need to hit exit after entering and then select OK
The port needs entered with the numbers on your remote.
(see pic 9)
Server No. is where you enter your info. If you have more than one, you put them into 2,3, etc.
Softcam is left as NewCamd in most situations
Input Type is left for Domain unless your provider uses an ip. for domain
Server is for your domain given to you by your provider
Port, from provider
AU, some say on- others off. Lets leave it off and if you have problems you know where to turn it on at
Authorization is next, select it and enter your c/s information there (see pic 10)
Take note that id and password (also known as username and password) slots have to have the dummy removed and your information from provider entered
Des key has to match what you was given also
Installations -> Satellite Search to set your sats up and scan. (see pic 11)
And that's it- your receiver is ilink, information entered, and scanned sats.

I never went into detail about how to scan your sats, because you should know the basics.
Remember to write down your settings before starting- because they'll be gone when you do this
Channel saves do not work from your nano2 well- best to scan fresh- then save if you wish.
