R-Linkpower Config Tool
This will let you assign a static IP to your R-link
1. Download and place it a new folder.
2. Hook up R-Link R-10 as you did for initial load (R-Link Black/Blue Cable to Computer) Note- do not have internet cable hooked up
3. Open Dongle Config Tool
4. Select Com port
5. Uncheck DHCP Box - this will allow you to change/insert numbers in sections below it
6. Fill in Gateway, Subnet and Local IP numbers in correct sections
7. Click on "write config" - this will write your settings to R-Link
8. You can power down and hook to router, light should turn green quickly
Sample Settings for Linksys router:
Gateway- 192.168.1.1
Subnet - 255.255.255.0
Local IP- 192.168.1.XXX
XXX on Linksys can be replaced with numbers 100-149 on most Linksys routers. Using 131,132,133,134,135,,136 is usually available and good to go.
