Yes you can do it with the key edit screen but I think this is faster and less frustrating.If or when the time comes for needing to change the keys manually it can be done by even the beginner with little effort.Transfer you key data from your unit to your USB drive ( thumbstick,USB stick or whatever term you use). Menu>Utilities> Data transfer> Transfer Key Data to USB stoage. A screen will come up with the option to name your file, the default is key file and the current date. Scroll down and hit enter. When the transfer is done remove your stick and put it in your usb port of your PC. When you see the file on your stick it will be a reg file, RIGHT click and open with " Notepad ". You will now see this screen with all your key data=

I replaced the numbers with X but it will be all numbers, you can now change the numbers to current keys that you got from your key retrieval software that you use.=

DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING BUT THE NUMBERS !!!! The spaces and semi colons must remain in the same spot. When you are done changing the keys hit exit and save. Remove the USB stick from the pc and put it in the unit. When the download screen comes up scroll to the key file and hit the red button to download and your box now has the new keys.
Now that you know how I hope we never have to go back to this. I know you can do this on the unit but if you try this you will find it much faster, I do anyways.
