For users that need to update the keys or are having issues with the autoroll function here is a brief How To for Updating the Keys on your receiver via the Softcam Key file method.

The file will download from the receiver with a file name such as ex. Key_071224 (this is the date...hint hint, great idea indeed) And for those intereested the file extension wil be Key_071224.key and it can be opened and edited with Notepad.

1. Press Menu
2. Scroll down and press Utilities, right arrow over and scroll down to Data Transfer, pres ok on the remote.
2. Scroll down to the Transfer Key Data to USB Storage, press Ok on the remote.
4. Scroll down until you have highlighted the Enter button, press Ok on the remote.
5. The current Key file on your receiver will now be saved on the USB stick.

From here you can edit it manually or with the use of a variety of different programs such as ex. Key Update 8.5.4

To upload the Key file back to your receiver perform the following....

1. Insert the USB stick into the receiver.
2. When the USB drive pops up on the TV screen scroll right arrow until it displays the Key File.
3. Press the red button on the remote and the new key file will load to the receiver and it will reboot.
4. It can take up to 10-15 minutes before the current TV channel comes in.
