Unhappy Coolsat Flash Drive

I have a coolst 7100 pvr. I formatted the flash drive using dos and it won't work anymore. I can copy files onto the drive but they won't download to the receiver. Is it because of this or is something defective.

Default

Maybe is formatted wrong.

Try this:

Plug USB stick into pc
Open my computer
There should be a new icon under the removable storage section (drive letter) mines J: yours may be different
Right click it and select format
A new box should open up for formatting
Click on where it says FAT and select FAT32
Hit start

It may help if your not sure to open up my computer first and check the drive letters and watch for the new 1 .

The use of USB-sticks

As save-medium of the next decennium the USB memory stick seems to have claimed its place. They are reliable, fast and they offer more space than a floppy-disk.

It is possible that your USB-stick does not work on this workplace. Not all USB-sticks will function correctly.

Connect the USB-stick, before logging on, to the cable that can be found on the desk.

The USB-stick will now be recognised as an extra (removeable) hard disk.
The D-drive.
This can be seen in the lower rightside of your screen, next to the time indication, where this icon has appeared:

You can access the data on your USB-stick in different ways.

Notice:
You have connected the USB-stick but can not access the files on the stick. If a (Word, Excel) citrixsession is open, close this session first.
Now open a new (Word)session. The files on the stick will now be visible.

Accessing the USB-stick through the explorer:
a) Open the Explorer through:
b) Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Explorer.
c) Go to My Computer.
d) Press the <F5> button (refresh) and the D:drive becomes visible.

Accessing the USB-stick through Word (or another application):
a) Open the Word file.
b) Go to File --> Open (you are now in the My documents folder)

c) Go to My Computer.
d) Press the <F5> button (refresh) and the D:drive becomes visible.

Click on the D: drive, the files on the USB-stick are now accessible.

When you want to save a file back on your USB-stick, you will first have to save it on 'My Documents'.

Then you can open 'My Documents' to cut and paste your file to the D:drive (the drive of the USB-stick).
You can also drag the file to this screen (hold left mouse button).

After use the memory stick can be removed. To ensure that all data is written properly to the stick, this can best be done in a "proper" manner.

By clicking on the icon once, the following text appears
Savely Remove USB Mass Storage Device-Drive (D

Click on this text and the following message appears:
Save to Remove Hardware

The memory stick will now be correctly closed and you can safely remove the stick. When you do not do it this way, your stick can possibly be damaged. We are not responsible for any damage.
