I'm a little new to this, and was given a cool sat 8100 box and a dish with 3 lnb's to go with it. i know how to point a dish, and how to load the soft ware, but im not sure which birds to aim at using the bin code for the 8100 found here.

I have found one on one lnb, but cant get a picture. Both the quality and signal meters are at 99%. Im just not sure if im hitting the right one.

Can anyone guide me?

The current fix for the CS 8100 is for DN birds.But Dn is losing cnls to N3 and you will not get them.The best setup using a dish with 3 lnb's is 110,119 and 129.If you are standing behind your dish with lnb's away 129 lnb is on the left 119 in the middle and 110 on the right.110 and 129 will reflect in from the side and 119 will mirror over the top.Home in on 119 and then skew your dish till 110 comes in.Your receiver will conform what sat your on.Set your tp freq to 12239 for locking in on 119. The dish will have to set perfect to receive all sats.The is other setups. and you can read about them here in the forums.

So when the N3 does get figured out, which ones would it be? 110,119&121? Im not really needing it now, but i would like to set it up so its ready when the fix comes out for n3.

To clarify, it is sat echo 9 121w that im picking up, and cant catch a quality signal on any other lnb. my sat finder says im on them by adjusting skew, but im not getting a quality reading. On top of that, when im in the setttings for the sat, when i select the bird on the list, is says 121, but at the top of the screen says echo 110. Does this mean im really hitting 110?

Yes if on the top of the screen says echo 110 this means that you are really hitting 110. You will need to change your Port settings for each satellite.
