got my r link today. please help me figure out the wire set up . I got 2 wire 1 is black, 2 is blue & black. Cant figure witch one goes were. thank's.

shahji407 this is some info on that, read it all before you start, I will see what else I can find, this is new, so we will be learning on some of this as we go along. Info below:

Download and extract R-10 Loader to a new folder
The cable used between computer and R-link is Straight cable(black and blue color). Power supply plugged in and power on(Automatic On)

LOADER FILE:
The "Configuration Settings " file will not be there till after you load the R-link

LOADER:
Select your Serial Port(Com Port) by typing the number of Serial Port in box on left. Click "Open" and then next click on "Patch Run

LOADER WORKING:
If above steps are followed correctly, you will see the blue progress bar filling up the slot and "patch processing and percentage ".

If settings are incorrect (Serial Port or wrong cable/bad connection) you will see "patch Failed" where "patch processing and percentage ").
Reset from first step and try again. Most errors have happened because of wrong Serial Port setting.

COMPLETE:
Should say Patch Done when it is complete.
You can click on "ok' and power off Its time to hook to the receiver.
When hooking to your Coolsat 5000 and 6000 Units you will use the cross-over cable(all Black in color) between R-Link and unit.
Hook up Ethernet cable and Plug in power supply.Red light between power plug and Ethernet will turn green when connect to server. Turn on Receiver and watch tv. (you should have proper R-Link receiver Files loaded already)


So by what I have looked at you use the black and blue straight cable/wires for computer and r-link and the black one by itself is a cross over cable that is hooked up last between the r-link and receiver. You read it and see if that is how it sounds to you too. Let me know if you are up and running or if you still have problems Some links below for you, not sure if you have the 5000 or the 6000 Coolsat so posted links for both.

thank;s SAN, got that part done. loaded the file into goolsat 6000. Do the fac. default, scan ch: but its still saying scramble ch: except Ch: 100

1 more thing , R link power light is green.

shahji407 the green light is good, that means you are connected, however you need to do your factory default or factory reset before you load files, like below:

Do Factory reset on unit before loading new file.

Load file with Coolsat loader as you have done it the past.

Set up and scan as you have done in past

Load the new IKS Fix File.

If you don't have the picture after 5min, reboot your system using the switch at the back of the receiver and make sure that you are connected to the IKS server.

thank's San again. finally load my box and working great, not many channel but atleast my 2 yrs old coolsat 6000 back on air. Best christmas gift 2 myself. Just one more thing if u guys can update the working channel periodacally, Thank;s again and merry christmas to all of you.

shahji407 you are very welcome, to have some tv is better than none. I am sure they will be adding channels as this is new and still being worked on Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to you and your family

Good to hear you are up and running, we will update the channel list again but channel lists change almost on daily bases and are hard to keep 100% accurate.
