Public or Private? - FTA Files Community Forums for Satellite Equipment

Hi, I am new to the site and testing FTA. I have a DM100, trying to get this up and running.
Should I go with public or private?
What firmware should I flash my DM100?
Please point me in the right direction.

DreamBox only works on private server so you have no options really. Send Sp0iler a PM and see if DreamBox is supported with new PS,link here - http://www.ftafire.com/iks-discussio...html#post24242

How much does it cost to be on a private server? Is it one time fee or monthly?

Sp0iler will give you more details on channel selection and fees, it all depends what channels and sats you are interested in.

I got the server info. from Sp0iler.
I uploaded the firmware to 221A. I can go into the Expert Setup using pin 0000, its setup to DHCP and I get an IP.
When I try to go back with pin 0101 it say bad pin.
How do I set up the server?

Yes, I have followed the instructions and the only pin that works is 0000

These are the files I am uploading
DM100SNA_MAIN_V010F.BIN
DM100S_MAIN_V221A.BIN

I uploaded the following file, and pin 0101 works. I am able to setup private server. I am getting picture but it freezes very 10 sec and the volume is very low.

If you are getting picture that means everything is set up correctly, freezing is most likely server related and should be fixed soon.
