When you buy a HD ( High Definition ) receiver it doesn't come with the 8psk board. So the board needs to be bought separately and installed in HD Fta receiver in order to watch HD channels. So if you have a HD ready Fta receiver you would need the board to enjoy the full HD and if you don't own a HD receiver it's basically useless.
