97W sat can be found on Galaxy 19 or 25 and on some receivers it will show as Intelsat 5 but it's all the same sat. Satellite provider is called GlobeCast and there is some true fta channels and some you have to pay for. In order to get this sat you need at least 30" dish and Linear LNB. It's mostly International channels, here is a link to the channel list for Globecast so you can see what channels are available. http://www.gosatellite.com/GlobeCast...List-s/899.htm

If you are looking for true fta North American channels 123W is your best bet and in order to get that sat you would basically need the same Dish 30" and
Linear LNB. As i mentioned before the bigger the dish the better but 30" will work.

If your receiver confirms that you are locked in on 123 then run a sat scan.I did not read in your post that you scanned that sat. Please let us know if you need more help.

You can try changing your TP freq's and see if will tell you the sat your on.I have used a sat finder and got a satellite signal but my receiver would not tell me what sat I was on till I removed my sat finder and then connected to the lnb.

Your sat finder only shows that you are locked on some sat it doesn't tell you it's 123W or does it? Your dish is the right size dish but you got the wrong LNB type so even if you are in fact aimed at the right sat 123W your receiver will not work with the LNB you have right now. You need a Single Linear Standard LNBF--10750. I already posted a picture of the LNB and info on how to get 123W. You can take a look at it here.
