Yes you could, this is dish description for big old dish.

Galaxy 10 C-band (123w)
Dish: 6ft
LNB: C-band

As far as I know ku sat 123 G10R ku is gone for good channels are on sat 118.Not sure what channels were moved over to 118 all of them or just some.

Ekim is right 123W moved to 118W. 30" dish is a little small but you can give it a try.

Does Sat 118 have any good channels on the ku side? I do not have C-Band.

You can get some pretty decent network channels on true FTA, but only a few on each sat, and some of the best are on C-band 99w and 121w.

For Ku band English language, try 101w for History, Biography, and Setanta Sports.

Lots of channels on 97w, but few are worthwhile and English language. Once you weed them out, there's only a dozen or so, out of more than 100.

You'll need a 30' or larger dish and a Linear LNB for Ku band true FTA.

Try this website for a simple Ku band true FTA channel list in English: ftalist.com

apparently the true FTA channels are gone on Galaxy 10R at 123.0°W

Yes they are.I had just receiver a motorized dish and could not get that sat cause it was gone.
