I know what channel are you talking about SportsMax is twinned with Fox Soccer Channel and has been around since 2002. That is true that it can be found on Sat 53W Intelsat 707 but as far i know it can be only watched in Jamaica and the Rest of the Caribbean. I don't think it's available in North America and i know it's Circular polarized C-band but like i said i doubt you can get it in USA. Another thing you might wanna keep in mind there is only 7 channels available on Sat 53W and i don't know if it's worth purchasing new equipment to get only 7 channels. I can do some more research for you but i am pretty sure that there is no way to watch that sat in North America.

Doing some more research on this is appreciated. Interest is on this channel because it has all the International sports. Lyngsat shows it as C&KU band. Freq 3820R..Tp 12 System needed DVB and its digital/clear. Don't know how to read the foot prints map or the beam. Beam Peak: 40 dbw. Also don't know about EIRP.
Channel is also on Intelsat 805 @ 55.5 W ...C band.but its on PowerVu encryption.. and on DVB system......equipment available are 10ft dish antenna, 4DTV receiver, C&Ku lnb.....
This is giving you extra work but it might worth it....Diehard41

It might be possible to receive signal using 10 ft dish but that might depend on the area where you live as well. I will look into it some more and let you know if there is a way to get that channel using a satellite dish in North America.

I did some research. And like Fta Pro said I do not see anyway to view that sat.I did find some web sites and they mention radio coverage but think you can't get that in N. America either.

No diehard 41 i didn't forget you,i was away on a business trip out of country for a few days. But i did do some research before i left and didn't find anything that would be useful to you. I can research it some more but as i mentioned before i am pretty sure that there is no way to receive signal for this channel in North America. Not yet anyways, but things in fta world can change so if i come across any good news i will definitely let you know.

Thank you FTA PRO.Did some inquiry also and was told that Intelsat 707 located at 53 degrees west is a KU sat, a 48" offset dish, KU universal LNB such as Invacom Q30 should be enough but they can't validate this. I got the elev, azamuth and lnb angle. I don't want to spend good money to purchase dish and lnb if I will not get it. I don't know if this is any help to you....diehard41

53w is to low on the horizon to pick up unless you had Mt Everest in your back yard with a dish at the top.LOL

Ekim, I am not of any authority with regard to your statement on " too low on the horizon".;to disbelieve it . However, I can tell you that I picked up Telstar 12 at 15 degrees west with a 30" Ku dish and universal lnb...diehard41
