Default Looping w legit dn box

Hello just wondering if it is safe to loop w/legit DN box, can DN tell if my tester is hooked up to it? I've done it before, but a friend said not to do it because of the phone cable plugged into DN box, they would be able to detect tester. Thanks

Your friend is right, the only way then can find out if your phone line is connected to the receiver.Luckily there is a easy solution for that, unplug the phone cable and you are 100% safe.

Yes the same thing for all providers. There is no need for phone line really unless you are ordering PPV's.

Use the same dish and LNB's but instead of DN receiver hook up fta receiver and get all the channels. Take a look at this link it has various set ups using DN and Fta receivers at the same time.
