Default Other sats to view besides dn or bev

I know there is other sats out there that I can view but I need a slightly bigger dish and a different receiver then the vs ultra. Can anyone give me an idea what is a good motorized dish setup and receiver that when in the near future i can still view the dn and bev when it comes online using bin files. I know I tried to cheat by using a starchoice dish to view the 123west sat but had no luck. This has a few FTA Channels to view that are not encrypted. I think the dish was not big enough or the factory lnb was not the right one. So I looked around and noticed there were a few receivers with motorized dish setups but dont know which one to get. Thank you for your help.

Default Hope this helps :)

Krypt you would need a 30 or larger dish and a lnbf for free to air channels like 123w which are ku band channels. You can search sites that will give you motor info with your dish set up, sometimes you can get dish/motor/lnbf all together. Your viewsat ultra will work fine. Hope this helps

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right.Love the ones who do not, just because you can.Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it.Kiss slowly.Forgive quickly.God never said life would be easy.He just promised it would be worth it.

You do not have to be crazy to be my friend, but it sure helps.................

Ok thanks San, I know I need a bigger dish but as far as the reciever goes do I have to change it, cuz to my understanding the one I looked at you need that special reciever to use the motorized dish setup. I was told you couldn't use the viewsat ultra reciever for this purpose. It would be great to have a motorized dish to watch DN, BEV and FTA Ku bands that would be kewl. Anyways I hope this made it clear for my purpose that I need. Just trying to elimnate this huge antenna farm I got going here. LMAO!!

Krypt your best bet would be to go this route without having to spend much money and still enjoy true fta sat and keep your receiver. If i was you i would just get 30" Winegard Dish INCLUDES: 1 STANDARD LINEAR LNB for around $ 70 and aim at sat 123 W Galaxy 18 R and you are in business. Cheap and effective solution, and of course if VS comes out with a fix for DN you can still keep true fta dish and during ECM's have something to watch. Just my 2 cents

The cnls that you can receive are true free to air meaning they are free. There is no download needed.Just aim at a sat like 123.0W that has allot of free cnls and run a scan.Serf the web on buying a dish but buy from a trusted place.

These are true fta channels and there is no need for a fix to view them, factory file will do. Here it the link on what channels are available on 123 W
