Default Update STB

Hi, I've just purchased a Sonicview 360 Elite and think my first job is to update it?? I see the files in "Sonicview Elite Files" but don't know if I want FTA Fix, Factory or Other files and then which files in the correct category? If someone would give me baby steps I'd be grateful. I'm OK with the USB part just not sure where to find the files I need.
Thanks
Michael

I would start here first >>> http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/sonic...360-elite.html

And from here on we need to know if you have an ihub or not.

Thanks for the response guys...
IKS? Ihub?? I gotta router for my home network and Internet dunno bout that other stuff:-)
I've also managed to get Intelsat Americas 5 so I guess I can say things are working like they're supposed to, but I imagine I need to update something to get some of the more "interesting" satellites

Tell us what programing/channels you would like or interested in receiving. We need more info. Not sure if you have the IHUB.Without the ihub your choices are small. Not sure you have a satellite dish pointed and if so what is it pointed at.If you are doing this alone your in for a nightmare and so are we lol.But like you said take baby steps and will get you going. The first thing you need to deal with is pointing your dish.

I have no idea what IKS or Ihub is, can you tell me?
Currently pointed at Intelsat Americas 5, I have channels but it's less than riveting entertainment. I'd really like to get Dick or Dave (I think).
FYI I have the Sonicview 360 Elite, Winegard 31" dish, Digipower SG2100 Dish Motor and a Dual Linear FTA LNB.
This won't be a nightmare, let's put the fun in Dysfunctional
Hope this is the info you need, and thanks again.

hi ya - first off you will need to point / find the satellites you want to pull in. 110 & 119 are dishnetwork signals. you will need a i hub ( it is a doggle switch ) that you will have to purchase to watch television because of nag 3 scrambled reception.you have a great dish and lnb. i am sure ekim will give you a posting that will give you directions on how to find those satellites.

Default Find your birds and get you a ihub and cat 5 cable

Hello mjones, IKS is internet key sharing and is all that is working on DN/Bev. To get these birds/sat's you have to have the ihub to go with your sonicview receiver which is a dongle. It allows you to go iks, connect to the internet. The only other thing available is free to air, those birds are like 123W galaxy 10/18 and you have to have a lnbf and a dish bigger than 30" to get those birds which are ku band birds. You can receive dn 110/119 birds or even 82/91 bev birds with the Ihub and your sonicview 360e, you will connect the ihub to the back of your sonicview receiver and then connect a cat 5 cable to the other side of the ihub to the router, then you will have some set up for your receiver. You can go to www. dishpointer . com put in your area info and pick your sat/bird and it will give you your settings, like that site really well. Show you what it looks like below as demo:
