Default jacksdad

I'm new to all this and here is my problem. I have the dish installed, hooked up to the receiver. I get great signal strength and quality. I downloaded the instruction sheet on loading software to my receiver. Where do I find the "latest bin file", mentioned in step one?

We have no idea what your receiver is.

Default Sorry 'bout that chief

I have a Sonicview SV-360 Premier, and I'm looking at Echostar 8 at 110 and Echostar 7 at 119. I signed up on this website and shucked out 30 bucks for a membership. I didn't realize this was so complex! My buddy at work told me all I had to do is buy the dish and receiver, get online and upload the proper codes on a USB drive, load 'em into the receiver and I'd be up and running. My signal strength and quality at both satellites is excellent. All I ever wanted to do is get my baseball channel back (that I lost in the digital switchover) so I can watch the Atlanta Braves play. Thanx for your help!

Default Welcome to the site :)

Welcome jacksdad, your buddy may of been referring to the days before the n3 switch, however you are doing great so must not be to complex for you Everything is looking good, however, if you do not have the ihub to go along with the sonicview 360 and a router you will not get 110/119. That is what is needed now all that is up on those birds are on iks and you must go that route to view 110/119/82/91 to let ya know. We are here should you need help with the rest of your set up Again welcome

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right.Love the ones who do not, just because you can.Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it.Kiss slowly.Forgive quickly.God never said life would be easy.He just promised it would be worth it.

You do not have to be crazy to be my friend, but it sure helps.................

That is the way it was on N2, it would take about 2 min to load a fix and watch tv. Unfortunately that's not the case anymore, the only way to watch it now is by using dongle/ihub and connect to internet. I believe there will be stand alone fixes for fta receivers and you will be able to load a fix using USB stick but i don't know how long is it going to take until we see a standalone fix again.
