By basing the IKS system on sub shares rather than some sort of n3 hack or emulation, IKS and all card based sharing systems are subject to identification by the providers security teams which aim to identify the subs and shut them down.

While not essentialy an ECM in the normal sense of the word, a modification to the stream is suspected to initiate the process of identifying the subs being shared, and just as they can shut down thousands of non paying subscribers with the push of a button, shutting down half a dozen or more subs used for sharing is just as simple.a sharing post from other information.
