I would not recommend it but most likely it will be fine as long as it is not overheating.

Lots of people leave their receivers on all the time, it barely uses any power and it seems to work just fine. Kinda like PC i guess some ppl shut it off at night some leave it on. I turn my toys off when i go to bed tho.

Default Receiver On/Receiver Off

You are welcome putski, it is just your own personal perferance as to leaving it own or cutting it off, I leave computer on all the time and cut off tv, but leave receiver running and some cut off tv and receiver to be on the safe side

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right.Love the ones who do not, just because you can.Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it.Kiss slowly.Forgive quickly.God never said life would be easy.He just promised it would be worth it.

You do not have to be crazy to be my friend, but it sure helps.................

I also leave the box on all the time... but it's important for people to remember not to block the vents on top of the reciever. My wife and daughter are bad for doing this, they put things like cd cases, magazines or whatever on top of my components, it blocks the air and causes them to overheat. Good news is I finally broke them of doing this. I do see lots of my friends do it simply because they don't realize it matters. Anyway, I leave my box on, don't really have a reason.

the reason that it can be bad turning on and off is because the com board heats and cools this causes expansion and compression cuasing faults in the mother board/com board. laeving it on is ok but like they said don't let it overheat my kids are bad for it to by putting things on top of them. It's the same with most materials if they're at a constant heat they're fine but change the temp several times like an engine they will break down over time
