Default LNB Identification

Ok,

So Dish's are easy to identify, and have big ol' labels on them saying DISH 500 or DISH TURBO HD....

My question is, how do I know what LNB I have to scan using the correct settings?

There doesn't appear to be a label on the LNB unless I am missing something! It has 2 bulbs and 4 co-ax outputs.

Is there a guide out there somewhere that I just cant find?

if it has dp on it in big black letters its a dishpro
if it has nothing on it its a legacy The settings will depend on what rcvr you have

I have a sonic view 360 premier....

I have 4 options for legacy.. Twin A/Twin B/Quad A/Quad B

I have been scanning on many... havent made it through them all yet.

Originally I scanned using the OCS-DP setting, and it would get several hundred channels, but say fail at the end of the scan (though I could still save and watch the channels it found).

So far with the Legacy settings, it is scanning and getting several hundred channels and saying end at the end... My problem is, when I scanned on OCS-DP I had some channels that I am not getting on the legacy settings (many movie channels, etc), but I now get some channels with the legacy scan that I didn't get with the OCS-DP even though I am missing different ones... Is it just a matter of finding the right legacy scan? I assume twin vs quad is either the number of ports or globes, however what is the difference between A & B of either Twin or Quad???

I,m sorry I am not familiar with sv settings but you have a legacy quad It is designed to support 4 rcvrs
You have one cable going straight to your receiver?

What are the other options in your menu?

Try lnb type standard lnb freq 11250.Then go to the legacy switch and if its a legacy quad try sw44 dish 1 for 119 and sw44 dish 2 for 110.
