Sonicview 360P VS Kbox Pro
OK well I just got my 360 premier with ihub a week ago and I have had my kbox prodigy with khub for about a month now. I am running 257 on premier and 2.17 on prodigy. Overall I am satisfied with both, they are exeptional boxes. I am going to set this review up in 5 sections; setup, size and looks ,Pic Quality and Sound, PVR capability, and IKS usage.

Setup
Kbox takes this one hands down. The wiznet on Sonicview is a pain in the a**. With kbox you just load the file via usb, scan sats and you are good to go. Sonicview on the other hand you have to use wiznet and atleast have to have some computer knowledge to get it up in running.
I also like the kbox blind scan and it is exeptionally fast in scanning sats.

Size and Looks
Kbox is a little smaller than the Sonicview, and they both look pretty good in the front. They both have a ihub or khub sticking out the back witch takes up some space, but its like that for almost every reciever. Kbox only has one usb port and it is in the front so when you are recording you have to fold the front down and it looks terrible. Sonicview has 2, so you can leave you hard drive plugged in and still update it, and it looks better.

The guide and Menu on Kbox just flat out SUCK. I don't know what they did but they managed to screw it up. They picked the wrong colors and it is hard to read.
Sonicviews guide looks really good so thats why they took this one.

Pic Quality and Sound
Both units have the option for componet hookup (best pic quality). And after playing with the setting for awhile Kbox has much better picture quality. Also from what I have heard it is the best of any non HD box.Sonicview is still decent though, but not quite as good.
On sound Kbox sounded a bit muffled at first, and Sonicview would win the battle then, BUT after playing with the settings I was able to make it louder. That is why Kbox takes this one.

PVR capability
Both units have PVR capability and both work pretty well. Sonicview though has the option to set up a timer to record. Both units also automatically change the channel which is a must have. Sonicview takes this one because of the timer.

IKS Usage
This is a tough one. Both Currently Only have Dn Channels up. Kbox like always is freeze free and sonicview is still not that bad on freezing. Kbox has more internationals while Sonicview usually has PPV movies on weekends. I am not a big international guy so I prefer PPV.
Sonicview even though it freezes more I find is up more often than Kbox. Such as when black thursday last hit sonicview wasn't effected while kbox whent down for 3 days. Also Kbox was down allmost all of december while sonicview was not. So Sonicview wins this one.

So what did we come out to. Well Kbox scored 2 and Sonicview scored 3. Both are great boxes and this is my opinion. If you can, buy both and see which one you like better. I will be using both boxes hopefully for a long time. HAPPY TESTING!
