Of all the FTA, which gets the fixes or repairs out the quickest?
As I'm just getting into FTA as my neighbor donated his older model unit to me and has gotten me hooked on this FTA. I would definatley like to get a unit that gets back up quicker at a reasonable price as being a senior on a fixed income. Where we live cable isn't avalible and Dish and Direct are becoming unatainable on a fixed income. Thank you, Robert |

Besides IKS receivers Sonicview has the best support as of late. What receiver did your neighbor give you, i hope it's not an old Coolsat 4000 or some other receiver that is not supported any more.

I just read in your previous post that you have a Coolsat 5000, it's still supported but one of the last receivers to get a fix. Lately all Coolsat receiver have a poor support even the new models.

My recommendation is to start looking around for the nFusion as that way you will pay about $140 but should be good to go for few years without having to pay for the tv. So in the long run will save you bunch of $ and it will work even if the coders don't crack the N3.

Thanks for the info. I'm now checking the web sites that sell them. What is the big difference between them and all the other FTA(coolsat, sonicview, etc.)? My bigist problem is that where I live with just using an antena for TV watching, is that we only have ABC and FOX localy and I have a 40' tower to pull those stations. As far as CBS, NBC the nearest major cities are Mobile,AL or NewOrleans and I can't pull them as they are both about aprox. 100 miles away. And unfortunatly the local ABC is the only one that airs any type of news program and then it's poor news in my opionion, mostly local stuff. Will the NFusion work in my area, I'm about 35 mi. north of Gulfport, MS. Where Katrina hit.
Thanks again, Robert |

nFusion uses the internet to get its updates and is up 99 % of the time. When N3 took over bev and went down for most nFusion was able to Sub-card a N3 card and was able to bring most of bev back.nFusion may be the only thing up when DN goes N3 because they will be able to Sub-card DN.Remember there is no hack for N3.

Does NFusion use the same satalite that I'm using now (119.0W Echostar 7) ?I went to one site about NFusion and it showed some channels but are they basicaly the same channels that I'm recieving now, as the site was showing a lot of Canadian Stations. I also see where the Nova has been discontinued and they recomend the Solaris or higher priced models. I looked at the higher priced models and they seemed to have more gidgets and gadgets than I need for just watching basic TV. What do you think, personaly?
Thanks Robert |

You have your internet IKS configuration in the menu but other than that the nFusion is just like any other fta receiver needing a dish. The Nfusion can also if there were stand alone fixes be just like a regular fta receiver without the internet.nFusion may the future for everyone to have to use to test.Lets hope not.
