Its that time again!!!
Its getting to be that time again. Be sure to check your furnace or have someone come and check it. Try to use a local company because it helps out your community.

Make sure to replace or test the batteries in the carbon monoxide detectors and fire alarms.

Remember Carbon monoxide stays about mid room to the floor but is still detectable from the celing so remember to have your carbon monoxide detectors about mid room level.

Be sure to check your door seals and windows for air leakage. Apply weather stripping to seal the cracks to ensure that your furnace does not have to work over time and take a chance of going out on you in the middle of winter. Especially with a family and the fact that alot of people work seasonally and have lack of funds of replacing the furnace in the middle of winter.

Change your filters and have an extra in case the one you have gets clogged up and the air gets restricted and not heating up the house correctly.

If you have air conditioning be sure to check the A frame coil in the furnace because the heat still blows through the A frame coil for the air conditioner the only differance is the air conditioner is not telling it to get cold but your heat still passes through the coil if this gets clogged the furnace can over heat or burn the resistors out which hold the flame and fire can come out of these resistors and start the lint and dust you have collected in the furnace on fire.
