How To Set Up IR210 or IR220 On A Private Newcamd Card Share
How to setup your IR210, IR220, or IS8000 on a private NewcamD card share.
I think it's time to open the doors and broaden our horizons. The fact that your Ilink model that I listed above has the ability to connect to a private server is an option for you that may one day be put to use.
For those interested here's basic instructions so that you will not find the task of doing so too difficult.
First load the newest firmware file to the receiver that is supported above.
Since I'm using a IR-210 the latest file is the 2.84
then do a factory reset (this is very important, the first time I tried doing this it didn't work and it was due to this step so do it!)
then go into your network tab then net applications
the default setting is EPCS which is ilink's public server
Change the EPCS to Dream
once you do that you should set the settings like the picture that I will post
Mind you this is for use with the IKSprivate@erver so if you use another you will use a different domain name and server port #
In the "Authorization" area you will input your user ID and password which on the iksprivates@rver is the same
also input the des key which is also input into the des area
now if you exit your settings will stay how you put them so at this time exit and then re enter to make sure all your settings are correct
after so go back into network and into IP Setup for after doing the factory default the IP Setup area goes to "not used" so turn it back to "auto" or "manual" or whatever you used before
the last step is scanning your satellites
afterdoing so simply press exit and watch tv
notice on the bottom right you now have "connection: 1" referring to the number connection in dream private server area
NOTE: if you want to go back to the Ilink public iks simply change dream back to EPCS and it should revert automatically
