Naval Pilot saved by the air-force
This is an article in the Tulsa news, which was relayed to me. It was too big to show the article, so I'll try to repeat it from memory. (good luck)
A naval flight commander (In Widbey Island) tried to ride a horse without any prior experience. After he mounted, the horse bagan running. the commander began slipping to the side a bit, so he tried grabbing the mane of the horse, but he couldn't hold on. Soon his arms were wrapped around the neck of the horse. The commander continued sliding to the side, but the horses movements kept the commander from gaining his balance.
There were witnesses to this, but nobody moved,,, they all just stood there watching.
The commander soon tried jumping from the horse, but one foot was placed too far in the sturrup and caused his foot to be stuck there.
The horses hooves bacame a problem, as they could do damage to this pilot, not to mention the banging on the ground the commander was doing.
Then an air-force pilot (who had been shopping at wal-mart), came to the rescue and unplugged the horse.
