Hello everyone,

The Limesat HD Air unit will be released on Monday 11-28-11 along with the LS400 QPSK/Heat Sink combo and the Wifi/3G/Bridge/Router which are both internal add-on's.

Limesat HD Air - The one receiver to rule them all...

Main improvements from the limesat HD Max to the limesat HD Air:
1. Case Venting has been improved to solve heating problems.
2. LS400 QPSK & Heat Sink is greatly improved from all of the old SK models and also includes a heat sink to help with heating. (do not be confused by the name of this QPSK. It is what you want for all of your HD needs) The LS400 QPSK & Heat Sink will only work with the limesat HD Air. It will not work with the MAX or any other unit. (some dealers thought they ls400 worked for the Max and informed users of this. That is not the case.) If you ordered a Max and think you got a ls400 that is not true. It's very clear that the ls400 has a heat sink on it and will only work on the LS HD Air. Please understand that those dealers were misinformed. You thought you got a ls400 with your Max you got a improved sk300.
3. The Remote has been improved and also shares the same IR codes as the limesat ultra. All future limesat models will share the remote IR codes with exception of the first HD wifi & Max.
4. The old HD had the Wifi/3G/Bridge/Router addon built in. The Limesat HD Air allows users to chose if they would like to add this on or not. They realized that there are many users out there that don't want Wifi and even better don't want to be forced to pay the extra money for it.
5. There have been a few other hardware modifications and upgrades which some will be very noticeable and others will not. Once I get a full details of what those changes were exactly I will let you know.

This unit was built to be customizable to fit everyones needs. There are many users out there that do not even have the need for HD but still want to have the best FTA receiver to ever hit the market.

This is not only the best looking FTA receiver ever it is truely the best FTA receiver hands down. It doesn't matter if you are watching SD or HD you can't go wrong with this unit.

You can use multiple private servers simultaneously without switching back and forth. If one is not working you will simply watch the next server in line automatically.

There has been a lot of talk that DN and BEV are going to MPEG 4. If that happens Limesat HD Air users will have nothing to worry about...

The MSRP will be from $299 to $339 - I hear dealers are allowed to make any deal they want until the Cyber Monday sale is over at which point they will be raising their prices.

All Limesat HD Air & Limesat HD MAX units will NOT require a serial number any more. Both of these units use different software because the HD Air uses different IR codes. This is a big bonus for all limesat HD MAX owners. Their old Codes will not be deleted now that they are not going to be required in their receiver. You can keep those codes to use with your limesat, sonicview or captiveworks receiver backups as a added bonus. They can not be traded in for a private code so please do not ask. Feel free to give them to a friend or sell them to someone you know.

Limesat HD Wifi (ver 1) Owners - There is some very good news for you. I've been told that Limesat will have multiple Authorized Distributors to allow you to return your old unit which was not modified to be a MAX.

I'm not 100% on what options you have however I think you will send back the unit and pay a fee to upgrade to a brand new Limesat HD Air. You may be required to remove your Wifi/3G/Bridge/Router board which is easily un installed. You will no longer be able to use your old SK boards on this new unit. Only the LS400 will work on the Limesat HD Air. Details will be posted this coming week on what that will cost exactly. I hear it will be from $99 to $120 with the LS400 included. Please wait for the actual details to be sure on the pricing. I'm sure you will have to take care of the shipping. I doubt the distributors would be willing to pay for that themselves. However you will also be getting FREE support with that upgrade which will save you another $40.

The limesat HD MAX has been discontinued as well as the limesat HD Wifi. The limesat HD Air has been mastered and there is no reason for them to continue with the other models. If you were thinking of ordering a limesat HD Max you will simply just order the Limesat HD Air with LS400 and Wifi addon.

I hope this answers many of your questions. I will be back around to read some of the responses and answer more questions.

I and the Japan Group ask that everyone who gets this receiver please go to your preferred forum and post a detailed review. Feature requests and suggestions will be reviewed at MFN. Mods and Ambassadors please gather all of the reviews you see on other forums and bring them to the Japan Groups Attention on MFN.

The limesat Wifi addon is the same as the one that is already installed in the HD MAX. It however comes with it's own packaging as a addon to the HD Air. Also note that the Limesat HD Air & LS400 will be in stock with Distributors on Monday and Dealers on Tuesday. The Wifi addon will not be in stock for 1 week. If you've ordered with any dealer and are expecting to get the wifi addon also please know it is delayed. Dealers should ship your HD Air & LS400 now and then ship the wifi add-on separately next week.

Also there have been many who ordered the limesat HD MAX pre orders. If you are expecting to receive you MAX from your dealer you will be happy to know that you are going to get the upgraded limesat HD Air with the LS400 QPSK/Heat Sink & the wifi addon. Remember that you will still have to wait to get the wifi addon so please do not be worried if the Air and LS400 show up first. Just contact your dealer and they will take care of you.

Limesat is sorry for not informing dealers of these changes sooner. Please do not hold your dealers accountable for these last minute changes. Communicate with them and i'm sure they will satisfy your needs.
