Default Instructions For Jtagging Dead Neusat SP6000 Regular And Premium Receivers

These intructions are for jtagging the Sp6000 regular and Sp6000 premium receivers.

1- Turn the receiver power off with the power switch on the back,or by unplugging the power cord.
2- Remove the receivers cover.Locate the 10 pin jtag port.It should be easy to loocate,as it has actual pins and not pads.
3-Connect the Db25 male jtag cable end to the computer paralell port,and then connect the 10 hole female jtag cable end to the receiver 10 pin jtag port.
4- Open the Neusat Sp6000 flash utility 1.0 b8 jtagging tool.If you don't already have this,you can download it from the Neusat Sp6000 regular or premium files section.
5- Turn receiver power back on
6- Click on "Detect Device" on the Jtag utility tool to detect the receivers flash chip info.
You should get a reading simular to this.

[0]=> Detecting device/flash
[0] ByteBlaster cable detected
[0] Hardware chip detected: UPD61115 (EMMA2LL)
[0] Target device initialized
[0] Flash detected: Intel-compatible [DeviceId=88c2, ManufacturerId=89]
[0]<= Finished
If you don't get this reading,check your jtag wiring order and connection,and try again.

7- Click on "Erase Flash" on the jtag utility tool,then in the length area,change the length from 0x00000000 to 0x00200000.
Address stays the same at 0x00000000.
FL Base stays the same at 0x1fc00000.
Port stays the same at 0x378

8- Click on "Start" to erase the flash.Wait for erase to complete.
9- Turn receiver power off with the power switch on the back,or by unplugging power cord.Wait approx. 10 seconds,then turn power back on.
10- Click on "Detect Device" on the jtag utility tool.
11- Click on "Program Flash".
12- In "File Name" area, of jtag utility tool, locate and load boot file.
13- Click on "Start" on the jtag utility tool, and wait for the boot file loading to complete.
14- Turn receiver power off with the power switch on the back,or by unplugging power cord.Disconnect jtag from receiver.
15- Connect the rs232 null cable to the computer serial port and to the receiver.
16- Download the 1.9.5 loader located in the Neusat Sp6000 files section.
17- Download the factory file for your model receiver.After downloading the factory file,locate and load the factory file into the Neusat 1.9.5 loader.
18- Click on "Connect" on the 1.9.5 loader.
19- Turn receiver power back on and wait for the download to start.
Do not disturb the receiver during the download.Wait for download to complete.
20- After download completes,close the 1.9.5 loader.Disconnect the rs232 cable.
21- Replace the receiver cover.

If each step was followed correctly,you should now have the receiver set back to factory conditions.
I have included in these instructions, the boot files for the regular and premium receivers.
Also included are the factory files for both the regular and premium receiver.
