It has been announced that Nfusion Nova owners will need to UPGRADE the Nfusion Nova to the Nfusion SOLARIS by purchasing a replacement Ethernet Controller card.



This ethernet controller card contains the security chip that the operators of the Nfusion S.U.N.S. server now require to authenticate IKS sessions for retrieving necessary codewords to decrypt channels.

On Tuesday, June 23, 2009, Nfusion released its first Dish Network IKS file for all supported receivers EXCEPT the Nfusion NOVA. This was done because the Nfusion NOVA does not contain the security chip they are using to authenticate receivers and prohibit clones of the popular Nfusion NOVA from using IKS.

On the morning of June 24th, 2009 the upgrade card or ethernet controller was being sold for just .95 and later in the day the same product skyrocketed up to over . The ethernet card replacement will essentially make the system the same as the Nfusion SOLARIS and has the onboard security chip for authorizing with S.U.N.S. This card jumped from about $29 to $79 as news of this hit the streets.

The premise is of course to prohibit clones from being able to work with the IKS server and has absolutely nothing to do with the Nfusion NOVA's actual technical ability to share in the same IKS success of other models. They have chosen simply to put clone killing ahead of end user support for those who have purchased Genuine Nfusion NOVA receivers.

Because Nfusion has chosen to put clone killing ahead of you, users and purchasers of genuine Nfusion Nova receivers, my official position is that you SHOULD NOT PURCHASE THE UPGRADE in order to signal to the Nfusion Support team that milking existing customers is something no one should tolerate. We suggest that the Nfusion Support team abandon this practice immediately and permit genuine owners of Nfusion Nova's to make use of IKS now

It is BS and the price of the card just keeps going up. Not even worth buying it, for few extra bucks you can buy Solaris instead of upgrading old Nova.

Hi, fellows, I'm so confussed on this box (nova). I read on the dnfusion discussion that there was a fixs for the Old Nova box by way of the mac & cheese fix, so I dug them back out and tried to use it, after following the instruction to the letter, my uploader will not work with flash update, it will just hang up when I reboot the receiver. I tried for about a week (27 times)
of downloading the file, unzipping and trying to upload the file via 9 pin cable only to be stop at the same point each time.
I hope this is not a case of wishful thinking. Could, or would someone help a tv junkie out??????????

P.S. I HOPE ITS SOMETHING SIMPLE LIKE A CORRUPT UPLOADER.

NFusion Nova isn't supported by NFusion coders any more. They were a couple modified bins that work for Nova called mac n cheese. Last bin does work but i don't know how much longer Nova is gonna have modified files.In any case we will post fixes as they come out.
