Default Heat buildup with NFusion HD

It is known issue with NFusion HD that the fan stops when the reciever is
turned off. The only way is to turn off the switch on the back.
Has anyone installed DIY like computer fan etc. or something which is running
all the time? or possibly take off the cover and leave the cover off?
Just concerned that so much heat may shorten the life of this unit.

Put if right under the receiver, your STB should sit on top of the laptop fan.

Default Regarding USB fan

Computer places sells like fan pad which are USB.
They do not sell individual USB fan.
I saw only 1 on ebay which is an individual USB fan.
Is the fan pad ok to use?

Default Regarding cooling pad problem with NFusion HD

I did buy a USB cooling pad for the NFusion HD.
I did follow the instructions regarding software
upgrade. I did press software upgrade.
The cooling fan does come on, but shuts
off as soon as turn off the power to NFusion HD
with my remote.
I cannot make it stay on.
How do I make it stay on all the time?

Not sure if all laptop pads will stay on while receiver is off as it is usb powered. Also boards heats up the most while watching HD channels so fan will prevent it from overheating while in use, best thing with NF HD is turn it off via rear switch when not using it i do that with my SV HD as well and had no problems so far.
