How to get EPG to work for Pansat
How to get EPG to work for Pansat
DO THIS FIRST: Go to Installation area copy down all the information on each of your Satellite,Diseq setting are very important as well as type of LNB etc,Write it all down better safe then trying to figure it all out later.
Step One: load the most current bin (IMPORTANT).
Step Two: Do a factory Reset.(My first big mistake because i kept missing this step and probably why i was only getting 2 hours of guide).
Step Three: Blind Scan,Note that you will have to first select the sat you pointed at in the installation menu,Actually install with the Disq setting etc,In my case it was 110 and 119,make sure your DISQ setting are proper too. After you select the sat from the installation you will want to exit and then do a blind scan on all the satellites you've installed. this process take a couple of minutes so just sit back and let it do it's thing.FYI: In my case i selected the two sats that i installed,Selected the SCAN ALL and let it go, you will most likely see another sat appearing...don't worry about that one it's not important for what we're doing here.
step Four: Echostar Package. After you've done your blind scan on each of your sats you will most likely see your programs if all went well above,Hit your sat button and select the Echostar Package this will put all your sats that you scanned with blind scan in dishnet order.
Step Five: EPG Populate. Here is where i crossed my fingers,I went to channel 100 and with the remote turned off my unit,I waited about 15 seconds and turned it back on, BINGO the message to load the EPG appeared and i selected OK.
Step Six: Date and time setting. If your not using a channel guide you need to make sure your that you've set your date, time and time zone for the EPG to work properly. Failure to do this will show you nothing in your EPG.
Time zone is a little strange due to daylight saving etc. For the Central time zone i had to use -5. If your guide is reading a couple of hours ahead or behind this is the probleme. Just make the necessary adjustments to the time zone.
