Default Pansat 2700a...problem with v203 fix file

Problem first reported on 12/10/08 under General Discussion....no video on any channel on 61.5 sat. Channels on 119 sat just fine....Two separate dish 500 and lnbs....Problem started and continued until now with the introduction of the v201 --Tivo Femu file....Loaded the latest v203 (12/18/08) problem still there..Is there a problem with these type of files and the 2700a receiver?
OR what other help you can offer..I appreciate all your help so that I may see TV again...thanks....Diehard41

What kind of cables are you using. It's sounds like an issue with the cable. In case you are using S video cable for your video try RCA cables and see if that works for you. If that doesn't work give us little more info on what have you tried already to solve the problem ( hard reboot, factory reset etc. )

You can also try this.

1. Record your Antenna Settings for your Sats. Make sure your clock, time zone are correct and turn all autos on.

2. Load Latest Factory File.

3. When receiver Reboots.. pick Factory Reset and press OK.

4. Load NEW EMU bin.

5. When receiver REBOOTS Go back and RESET YOUR ANTENNA Settings FROM first step.

6. Do a new scan of your sats.

7. If you do not have a picture..WAIT it may take awhile

Note - Some steps may not be necessary, I loaded EMU bin, then did factory reset, then reset all sat settings to my setup then rescanned and all channels work. Good luck.

Default 2700a..problem with V-203 Fix File

FTA PRO...Thanks for trying to help me but cables were not an issue PRIOR to downloading the V-201 Tivo Femu File...Also same RG6 cable was used from box to TV. Which is the latest Factory File?..Is this the B-75 Boot #310?
You really tried to help me before on this same problem It was unsuccessful. then Took a rest...Now I am back to it again..Kindly look at my posting on 12/10/08 under General Discussion where you will find everything that was tried...

....PS...Someone told me that this type of file (Tivo) only work with 2700c...Is this true?.....Diehard 41

@ diehard41 yes that is true that Tivo files are designed and modified for Pansat clone receivers. If you are 100% sure that your Pansat 2700 isn't a clone you should load the original NOT CLONE SAFE file. Here is the link for the file i am using for my Pansat 2700A. It works great no problems what so ever but i am not testing 61.5 sat. http://ftaprofessionals.tv/showthread.php?t=1490
Try this file and see if it works, if not we will work on it until we figure it out. Good luck and leave your feedback.

I just looked at the first thread you opened about this issue and i noticed you never did factory reset. It is a very simple procedure and it fixes a lot of problems. If you are still having problems you might have to do factory reset. Here is how.

Make sure you write down your current Antenna Set Up

1, Menu > Factory Reset

2, Load the latest Factory BIN - http://ftaprofessionals.tv/showthread.php?t=1679

3, Load the Latest Fix BIN - http://ftaprofessionals.tv/showthread.php?t=1490

4, Set the Antenna up and do sat scan

Default Pansat 2700a...problem with v 202 fix file

I loaded the fix file v202 not clone safe...Problem the same.. Now you are suggesting the Factory Reset routine. I am going to do it but I need to understand what I am about to do. By clicking on Factory Setting on the Menu I am changing the rec'r back to 100% FTA thereby also removing File
Boot_2700A(B75)_(07)0310 and replacing it with Factory File v124 then loading in Bin Fix File v202(12/14/08)---not clone safe, then I will do scanning of sats...Is this what I will be doing?...Diehard 41

Yes by doing Factory Reset you basically bring your receiver to " virgin " state the way it was brand new. With that said by brand new it means since you updated it to B75 version. I noticed we didn't have the 310 factory file on new Forum so i just uploaded it now. So after you do factory reset load this file first http://ftaprofessionals.tv/showthrea...=2987#post2987 and when your receiver reboots turn the back switch OFF and back ON again. And after that is done load this file http://ftaprofessionals.tv/showthread.php?t=1490 Hook your receiver back up to your TV do a blind scan for your sat's, set default keys and you should be up and running again. Good luck and let me know if you need any more pointers on anything.

Default Pansat 2700a..Problem with fix file

Fta Pro....I am following you. In your previous instruction you advised me that after factory reset, I am to load factory bin V124. Now you are saying after factory reset, I am to load Factory Bin 120.....I am assuming that I shouldn't bother to do the v124.anymore..Is this correct?...diehard 41 Thank you

Yes diehard41 bin 124 is switch upgrade factory bin, not the one you need. You need to load the bin 120 and then the bin from Dec.14 clone safe bin. And instead of regular scan do a blind scan it will work better in this case. I've used the 120 bin as my factory bin and never had any problems so i tested it my self and i know it works well. We are getting there little by little, i know you are little sceptical about factory reset since you never done it before but trust me it's not a big deal at all. I bought my PS 2700A when it first came out about 5 years ago or so and done factory reset countless times and most of the times that would fix my problems.
