Ok guys i did some research and found out what the problem was with PUFF files. All members that are using PUFF files have to convert to PUFF-boot_Ver.1.0.3

Well the time has come, where things have progressed far enough that further measures are needed to prolong the death of these beloved boxes.
-PUFF-boot_Ver.1.0.3 is a boot file that WILL be required from this point on to continue the lifespan of the box for the time being AND boots up in a little more then 10 seconds.(displaying P.U.F.F. P.U.F.F.)

I uploaded all the files that are needed in order to convert to PUFF-boot_Ver.1.0.3 and you can find them here http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/showt...=4374#post4374

Once you converted you can load the latest PUFF _(Lzma)_ file which can be found here. http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/showthread.php?t=2223

From now on only PUFF _(Lzma)_ files will work for receivers that use PUFF files and we will post files for as long these receivers are supported but i doubt that will be much longer. Good luck guys and leave your updates please.

Thanks again...after following your instructions and loading the new files, my display now flashes P.U.F.F. P.U.F.F. I was able to load the lastest fix and now that I know the difference between the two types of PUFF files I will hopefully will not have as many issues.

Can anyone tell me exactly what is PUFF?? not that it really matters but it would be nice to know.

Thanks again for all you help and hard work!

You are welcome and i am glad to hear you got your receiver up and running again. And to answer your question about PUFF. PUFF is basically a small method/software for Fortec STAR Lifetime Ultra, Pansat 2500A, and other Pansat 2500A CLONE receivers. FTA support for the above receivers ended few months ago, but then PUFF came out. In other words, PUFF brought all those receivers back to life. It's a method that takes original Pansat 2700A/E files and modifies them so they can work on those receivers (Fortec STAR Lifetime Ultra, Pansat 2500A, and other Pansat 2500A CLONE receivers).
