I have the 9200hd, a BUD with dual C/KU LNB, an analog receiver to switch polarity, and a Gbox to move the dish. I aimed the dish at echo9, loaded the BIN per instructions, set autoroll on and loaded the dish keys. Then I went to sat installation selected ECHO9 and set the proper diseq. when I go thru the TPs on the set up page I get no signal from the freqs that are listed on Lynsat for DN, however the next tps give me strengths above 75% and quality from 70% to 99%. Several of these tps bring up a "ECHO9 [-121.0W] is locked message. I left it on this TP for over 15 mins thinking that autoroll had to do something. then I selected another TP that had a high quality but no locked message and left that on for over 15 mins. Then I did a sat scan, it loaded up 3 channels two that are FTA and one that has a $, then it got to one of the tps whith a strong signal and stopped. It continued to indicate that it was scanning but never increased the percentage complete.

Sounds like you need to update your TP's. Do a factory reset and load the latest factory file ( which will update your TP's ) then the last fix for PS 9200. Here is the link for latest factory file

When I load the bin file after it reboots, the instructions state that my unit will say "you must turn off the unit with the on/off button and back on again to initiate it." It does not do that, I have tried waiting quite a while then finally turning it off and back on with the power switch. I have been able do scan the satelite and I get a lot of channels including one that says "congrats you are pointed at the 129 orbital location" However all of the channels display a $.

I have loaded the latest fix. that didn't work, then I did a factory reset, then loaded the factory file from this site and did a reset, then loaded the latest fix again. I see all of the channels but the menu says the sat is locked and there are dollar signs next to each channel

Having a $ sign next to the channel is normal it means they are paid channels. If AR is enabled it should roll and find the latest keys to unlock all the channels. Can you make sure that your receiver did take the latest bin file, try reloading the last fix again.

I have installed a dish 500 with twin lnbs. connected the cable straight into the receiver. I have downloaded the latest fix file 3 times, also the factory file and the factory improvement file. I have did a factory reset, then loaded the factory file, then the factory improvement file and the fix file. I did a hard off after each flash. The menu with the autoroll says it is on for dish, bev and 2 others. when I look at the settings menu it shows the latest fix file. Next I go to the satelite set up menu, select echo10_11 and configure the lnb to standard, freq to 11250, legacy switch to twin lnb 2. signal is 80% quality is 92%. Then I wait at least 15 minutes, meanwhile I have a message that echo 110 is locked. after 15 min. I do a scan and it finds 335 channels one of the channels that doesn't have a dollar sign says congrats you have a dish 500.
then I select echo 7 set the lnb values the same except the twin lnb 1. I get about the same sig and qual. after 15 mins I scan and get 421 progs. the only clear channels are angel and a group of IONs. there are also a lot of scrambles sirius radio progs. I have left the receiver on to some of the scrambled stations for hours and nothing happens. I have typed in the keys from this site. They never change unless I hit the default key.

Everything sounds about right except for your Auto roll, i know you said it's enabled but it seems like it's not rolling.When you load the new fix it auto roll should kick in and find new keys and open all the locked channels. It's possible that you got a lemon, you should replace it and get a new receiver since is still under warranty.

Ok,
I found out that I was loading the keys wrong, so I got them loaded correctly, and I get a picture, however, the picture works for about a minute, then freezes for about 2 to 3 minutes then resumes.

I have reflashed factory, and 3 versions of the fix.
