Default Remote for Pansat 2500a

I have a Pansat 2500a Puff rec. I thank my remote is bad. I add new batt. in it and it still don't work. Before I buy a new remote will the Pansat 2500A Puff rec be around for a while or there no longer will have files for it.

To be honest I don't think that Pansat converted to puff is going to have a N3 fix. But it will still work fine for many more years watching free to air channels.

Press STB button on your remote and see if it works. I also doubt Pansat 2500 will be supported any more but that is up to BL to decide the Pansat coder.

Default Remote down

I don't see a STB button on this Pansat 2500a remote. How can I tell if it is the remote or the receiver. It I keep pressing the button over and over again in about 5min or longer it might work. I will hate to buy a remote and it is the receiver.

Please help

Problems with the remote control

Check that nothing is between the remote control and the remote sensor.

Make sure the remote control is in STB mode. Press the mode switch to the STB position so the remote will control the FTA Receiver.

Check the batteries in the remote control. They may be weak, dead or installed incorrectly. Try replacing batteries.

If you’re entering a channel number that is less than four digits long, the receiver might wait two seconds before tuning to the channel. Press ENTER after entering a channel number to tune immediately.

If you are trying to operate a device other than the FTA Receiver that you have programmed the remote to control, make sure you fi rst slide the input switch to the corresponding device (DVD player, VCR, etc.). The indicator light for the component you’re trying to control should light up when you press a valid key for that component. If it doesn’t, make sure the input switch is clicked into the correct position.

(Note that when you replace the batteries, you may have to reprogram your remote to control other devices.)

There is no STB position. I am using the remote that came with my Pansat 2500a rec. I did everything that you stated in your email and it still don't work. I guess it is dead, what do you thank

Yea I think is dead, it is a old remote. You could find a replacement for about 10$ but is up to you. If you are going to use it for free to air channels than is worth it but if you only use because dn than I would not spend any more $ on a old receiver.

Default Fix for remote control

dridgell what is the last fix on that receiver? My thought is, if you have not used it in a while, that there was a fix for the 2500 a while back that had nothing to do with anything but the remote control. Did you ever put that fix on your receiver? Just a thought
