Fail to Read Mac Address Fix on Newlink ( Tested on Premier, Elite)
**Please Note; we will use some ihub files for receiver only.

Files you will be needing for this process.


1.factory file (syscleanfile) Use the one it correspond to your receiver model [Premier & Elite]


2. File (264 serie wm) for premier and File (231 serie wm) for elite.


3. File (Newlink premier_p9) & File (Newlink E07 elite).


4. File (Premiere_P11_newlink) & File (SV360Elite_newlink_e8).


5. Loader (v2.01). you can use the same Loader for Premier and Elite.



6. Null Cable. (You will need to load files using the loader).



7. USB (pendrive) available. Install wiznet (3.01) on your pc.


Step by Step

1. Verify with wiznet, the version of your Newlink, if it is at (v1.2) leave it alone, if it shows (v1.1), please upgrade to (Newlink v1.2) with the USB through receiver.



2. If the version is at (v1.2) just turn off the receiver using the back switch and remove the Newlink from the receiver.



3. Use the (usb pendrive) and install the file (syscleanfile) the one that correspond to the model receiver you have.(hard boot).


4. Turn off receiver from the back.


5. Connect the null cable from the port (rs232)



6. Open loader at your PC (2.01) and upload file (264p) o (231e) depending on your receiver, start the process with receiver still off from the back.



7. When is ready then turn on the back switch and it will start loading the file.



8. Just make sure (dn01) shows on the display, if not repeat process. 9. Wait few mins until is done ( DO NOT INTERRUPT).



10. Wait for the receiver to flash the file, when you see the time on the display flashing is done and now you can Remove the NULL Cable.



11. Go to IP Config. and verify the (serial #) from ihub, if is correct just leave that alone. if is incorrect and need to change, please add to serial number all (0) and apply. (verify 2 times to make sure changes have been made).



12. By the USB install Files (Newlink_p9) or (Newlink E07) depends on the receiver model you have.



13. Turn back off the receiver from the back switch and you will attach the Newlink dungle to receiver (rs232).



14. Turn back on the unit or receiver.



15. By the USB install Files (Premiere_P11_newlink) or (SV360Elite_newlink_e8) depends on the receiver model you have.



16. Check for any channels that are mostly up like 105 for sample and turn to that channel, when on that channel (hard boot) receiver from the back switch and wait to see message (network adapter connected) wait for few mins until you get video.



17. If you get to see tv then we are good



18. If you dont, then verify if server is up or down and the channel you have it on. You can also check the settings using Wiznet to make sure is correct



19. If the mac address is erased or edited it will not work. (Follow next step)



20. (hard boot) to receiver and wait for it to come back up. If it does come back up the ERROR (fail to get serial to server) is solved and fix.
