Default Instructions and downloads for ihub Wiz Loader 1.4 firmware

How to using Wiz Loader to install the latest firmware into you iHub.

Directly below are ‘quick’ instructions on how to load you iHub using Wiz Loader and
below that are the main (formal instructions).

Read both sets of instructions to get a clear idea on how to use Wiz Loader.

I used window vista to setup ihub with a linksys wrt54G router that have custom firmware DD-WRT good for networking.

‘Quick’ Instructions:

1. Before you do anything, go to your SV setting menu (IP Config) and see what your ihub IP is set on write down IP for step 7. This will show up as "Local IP".
If you're using a router, most likely it will begin with 192.168.1.***

2. Install the program

3. Run it, from Start menu.

4. Select DHCP mode.

5. Don't check "Use DNS".

6. for Server IP put 77.93.75.89 port 1920

7. Select Direct IP search. below that, enter the IP number you got from step 1.

8. click Search. In a short while, it should say something like 0.2 or 1.0 in the
Version box up in the upper left.

9. Click upload, select the new iHub bin, and it should start updating your iHub's
firmware to 1.4

Now your iHub, with its firmware updated to 1.4, should be able to work with the
new SV bins released on July 9th, 10th, or 11th.

‘Formal’ Instructions:

1) Run WIZNET Program (Window XP or Vista) and Click the “ Search”
2) Then, you can see the following
3) Normally end users uses the Router, DHCP is selected automatically..

You CANNOT flash a virgin Ihub!
If you do then you will get the dreaded v82 issue that is more time consuming than doing it right the first time.

To flash a virgin Ihub:
You need to connect the Ihub to the reciever
go into IP Config screen
Change Static to DHCP and then press ok on apply
You will now have a DHCP address in the correct range

The default static IP on the Ihub is 192.168.11.X
The 11 is out of most peoples ranges and when you try to flash it
You will corrupt your Ihub

If you have alread corrupted your Ihub
meaning when you turn it on and it doesn't recognize it (no Ip config under installation)
Then you need to fix it using this:

Open up the Wiznet flash config tool
note your Ihub's information

local ip: 192.168.11.2
Gateway: 192.168.11.1

these values will only work with a network that are 192.168.11.X
Since these values don't match my network I changed it to settings that match my network

Local Ip: 192.168.1.102
Gateway: 192.168.1.1

If you don't know your range or gateway then hit the start menu on the bottom of windows
find the run tab
type in cmd.exe
a black DOS window will open
now type in ipconfig
use the information in the window to change the value in your Ihub
after you are done then left click on the setting button on the bottom of the Wiznet config tool
It will tell you processing and then you can research and see that indeed the IP address has been changed

Note the Version is still at 82.0
Now click on the upload tab again on the bottom of the Wiznet config tool window
Locate the file 1.4 and press "open" to upload the file
After the processing stus window you will see "complete uploading"

Now you can do a search and see if the Version of your Ihub is now correct
It should read Version 1.4

note I have found that using the 1.4 instead of the restore file is fine
It gets the job done and it works
