Default Upgrading to New Link Instructions

Download HD2 and HD6

New Link files from files section

Link - Sonicview 8000 HD FTA Files - FTA Files Free to Air Satellite TV Community Forums

Now unzip HD2 and load to a clean USB drive.
Power OFF the receiver.
Disconnect OLD IHUB
Plug in New Link
Plug in USB drive with HD2 file on
Power on from rear
Wait until it boots
Go to USB settings and load in HD2 file (just the same way as the 514/515 files etc)
Once loaded click NO to reboot
Then power OFF at rear.
Wait 20 seconds
Power On at rear
Check version info in settings (last category)
It should say HD02
Go to PC and open Wiznet.
ONLY click on "search"
You now should get some info specifically we need to be sure it says v1.1 in top left of wiz.
This indicates the unit connected is a New Link any other versions displaying there and DO NOT continue.
Once you know for sure that you have a New Link then carry on.
Power OFF at rear.
Disconnect the USB..format it and load in the HD6 (BIN file unzipped)
Connect it to the receiver with the New Link connected and power ON from rear.
Again go into USB settings and now upload (SW upgrade) the HD6.
IMPORTANT...make sure this is done correctly. Wait a minute longer even though it asks you to reboot.
Once you have waited then select NO.
Now power OFF at rear............wait 20 seconds
Power ON at rear
Now it should say "updating image".........WAIT 20 MINUTES PLEASE do nothing go and get a drink.
After waiting 20 minutes you may get what looks like a frozen screen. DO NOT WORRY
Press exit on remote and the screen should exit.
Now go to 200 CNN channel.
wait 2 minutes and see if anything happens.
While waiting go back to PC and open Wiznet again.
Check the version info. It now should read 1.3
If it does not then DO NOT remove the USB drive as you will need the file to try and reinstall the file. However this should not happen.
Once you know you have 1.3 installed you can go into IPCONFIG on the receiver
(Note that NEVER USE WIZNET ANYMORE. Only for checking the version of New Link you have. Any settings needed to change will be done on the receiver through IPCONFIG and updating is done via USB from NOW ON.....Also forget the OLD style bins. They are no longer any use to you. ONLY install HD* files NOT 510 511 etc)

Exit and sit on 200 CNN channel TV should appear

Thanks goes to beejayblade.
