Default Correct Name Template for 72.7W Nimiq5

Credit to beejayblade:

After a lot of time and effort due to popular demand I have tried to make Nimiq5 a little easier for SV8000 users.
Here is a template for 72.7w Nimiq5. It converts the channel names from Echo001 002 etc to their correct channel names. It does not give you the correct SID's, unfortunately, although I did try to make the PPV channels easier by renaming them MOVIE 502, 505, 506 etc. This is due to a bug in the receiver/firmware itself. I have no control of that.
Also the EPG only populates on a small percentage of the channels (around 10-15%). again this is due to bugs beyond my control.

I would recommend a rescan first of Nimiq5 and then follow these instructions.
The file simply replaces any "long name templates" that maybe stored in the receiver. These templates are pretty useless for now as they have not been updated in a number of years and thus the channels are not compatible with today's lists.

All I did was to create a template to utilize this feature again on the receiver. If you do not wish to use it once loaded simply turn it OFF in settings.

To install the template simply load as you would any other file to the SV8000.
Menu > USB > USB File list > Enter
Enter > Template Update.
Wait for screen for 10 -20 seconds
Check that the display says "write ok" on receiver front.
Exit
Exit.

Then go into Menu again
Settings > User Options > then look down to
Auto Full Name if it is ON turn OFF then ON again. If OFF turn ON.
Apply Yes
Exit out and check the channel names they should have changed.

Hope it helps. Happy testing. BJB.
