Question Low Signal, No "Q"

Hi Zero Gravity,
Thanks for getting the info to me. I adjusted the dish pretty close to the specs, but still get the same readings on different satellite chioces. I think maybe the LNB's (their new) might be bad. Is there any way of testing the LNB? I have to admit that I connected and disconnected the RG6 cable from the LNB's while the receiver was still on (not thinking). Think I might had spiked it? Maybe I have to relocate the dish. It is mounted on the south side wall of the house where the Direct TV dish used to be. I was thinking of putting it on the roof, but just got a new roof and didn't want to make holes in it. I can mount it to a vent pipe I guess. Well,
Thanks Again,
Doug Ray

drhf I would not think that the lnb's would be bad, are there 3 of them? 119 is the bird I would home in first and a lot of times if you get it in 110 is either in as well are really close. Those birds are 9 degree apart in the sky, so if your facing your dish looking at it 110 would be on the left and 119 on the right or 89,91,101,110,119 from left to right starting at 89 being on the left. Of course, 89 and 91 will do you no good at this time, so you will look at charlie birds only (dn). If those lnbs are sep. you can hook up the one on the right and try to home in 119 and then once you have it in you can unhook it and hook up the one beside it which should be 110 and home it in. If you are looking at 110,119,129 then 119 will be on the middle lnb. Hope this helps

Question Satellite position

Hi San
When you say satellite 119, do you mean the AZ. degrees or satellite 119 as shown in the setup menu? My setup menu lists satellite numbers in the left column and name of satellite and it's azuimuth degrees in the right column.
Thanks,
Doug

This is the way a DPP 1000.2 needs to be setup.

Try changing your Disq Switch if you are still having problems. By connecting and disconnecting your cables with the receiver ON you could have fried your switch. That's the reason why you always turn the receiver OFF when playing with the switch. Luckily it's not a very expensive fix. Let us know if you are still having problems.
