Will the PVR function on the Sonicview HD 8000 pause, and rewind what you are presently viewing (like Tivo)?

Yes you can set it up to do that but it does not work very good.

On your remote control press the red button under the stop button and it will show "Timeshift is enabled" .

The best way of doing that is to record the show than watch it.

Got the time shift enabled but it won't pause stations or rewind.

That's the whole idea about PVR receivers to make them like Tivo. But there is still glitches and they are not working as well as they should. It's fairly new thing in Fta world therefor more difficult to write codes for PVR's. Hopefully in near future coders will figure out a way to make PVR receivers work the way they are intended too.

Yea, it records ok.

than is not much you can do, the best is just to prerecord the shows
