Do factory reset, load factory file then the latest fix and rescan your sat's again. That should work for you.

Default My box has nothing..nada

Since I loaded the dec 03 fix, my box seems to have died. I have a blank screen on my box where it usually shows channel. I tried to update a new fix, but even my remote won't bring up a menu. I'm at a loss. Any suggestions? Thanks

Oh and the last time I did a factory reset, I had to have my box completely reformatted by a "super User". He told me to never do that?????

Factory reset is a simple procedure, you don't need a " super user " to do that. Obviously he doesn't know what he is talking about if he told you never to do that. To sort channels you need to go menu and select Sort By Sid option, that will sort out your channels.
