I has nothing to do with your husband grounding the dish. Every dish should be grounded, normally when you buy a satellite cable it comes with a small extra wire which is the ground wire. I know a lot of ppl don't use ground wire with their dishes but it's a big mistake. It could have something to do with the storm you had recently, probably moved your dish or it could be a loose connection on your diseqc switch or one of the LNB's.

well thats the way I grounded my dish was from them directions!!! But I didnt ground it to an outlet, I grounded rite to the grounding rod by my electric meter, and you have to have the cable with the extra grounding wire with it,,, that is not a bad tip on grounding ur dish,, when d*shhnetwork comes to ur house and sets you up they ground the dish also,,I'm sorry to hear that you are having all these problems!

We also have reports that others are having problems with their SV S&Q %.
Last few fixes for SV receivers haven't been the greatest, SV coders know that as well and they are working hard on improving their codes.

Yes the fixes are not perfect but for the most part there they are working.I know the coders are doing the best as possible.

Ok here's the update

we moved the ground to where our house is grounded that fixed the surging but now we are still having issues with the LNB's battling over the signal, when the two recievers are on and on the same sat there is a good S&Q but when one reciever goes to another sat S&Q drops to half and also when one reciever is just turned off the S&Q is half. I know that others are reporting trouble with their S&Q but how do i fix the battling of the LNB's or do i have to replace them?

You can check the LNB's one by one by connecting your receiver directly to LNB without using the switch and see what your S&Q is on each LNB before replacing them. It's very rare that LNB's will give up on you but it's not impossible.

so if it's not the LNB's then what could be causing the fighting over the signal?

I just read your first post again and you mentioned that you already replaced your LNB's and 2 Diseqc switches so that shouldn't be the problem if they are all brand new. I would make sure that everything is connected property and that all cables are secured, no loose cables etc. But it almost sounds that 2 receivers that you have are interfering with each other, so it could be a problem with one of the receivers. Did you try using only one receiver at the time with other one completely disconnected from the dish?
