Here is a link to User manual for SV 8000http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/showthread.php?t=74 and yes you would have to install 8PSK Board in order to watch HD channels. Here is a link to more detailed description about 8PSK board. http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/showthread.php?t=481

Default Several Curiousities..

I have an SV8000 HD and am quite pleased with its performance up until DN stopped supporting my use. I purchased the IHUB but am a little concerned about using it with the possibility of detection. Are my concerns founded? I mean with everybody doing their utmost to bust everyone doing anything, isn't it extremely possible they could capture your IP and trace it to discover your use?

I also have an SV4000 and a SV360 elite. I have found the hard drive (fat32) above 750 gigs chokes on my system for some reason.

On my SV 4000 the movies files that I have saved on my hard drive aren't compatible with the files I have saved using my SV360 or the SV8000. Does anyone know of anyway around this? Or better yet, does anyone know how these files can be converted to more regular/usable video files.

We have a lot of info about IKS, you can take a look at these two links >>> http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/iks-d...ut-iks-n3.html

>>> http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/iks-d...ou-decide.html

Af far formating your files goes i am sure there is a program out there that can convert the files but i haven't come across one my self so i can't really help you on that one.

Default Risky or Not <<<- You decide.

Key word there for me is (Decide). To decide one needs information which is why I asked the question in the first place. Without information I am unable to make such a decision. I fully understand that it is risky testing an altered FTA receiver, what I am asking here is in using one (altered) with an IHUB a greater risk or equal?

Also, the simple use of FTA without Bev or DN, just FTA, are there any benefits of the IHUB in this arena? I mean, FTA is totally legal in its true form, right?

Only you can decide whether you should use ihub or not, of course risks are greater because your IP address is connected to IKS server and if that server gets hacked your IP will be there with all others. Which means you can be tracked down and charged with satellite piracy, odds of that happening are very slim in my opinion. It would take to much time and money to go after every ihub user, it would be much easier to shut down IKS servers and which will unable all ihub users from connecting to it. True fta is completely legit, that is what this boxes are designed for and ihub will not help with any true fta sat's as they don't need updated files/keys. This is just my 2 cents you can read a lot more about IKS on our forum. Here is the link to IKS Section of the forum >>> IKS Discussions - FTA Fix Files FTA Keys and FTA Instructions for FTA Receivers

Default Well, thank you..

It was difficult getting it out but I have now received the information I was afraid I was going to get.

The IHUB has NO purpose but to circumvent the illegal use of satellite. If this be the case why then would a company which says they DO NOT condone piracy build and sell something that apparently severs no other purpose??

It was said that there is little chance something like this would/could happen Now, if I were a satellite provider I was planning on trying to shut down the illegal trafficking of MY services, what better time to attempt such an action but when the sales have just started on a device which is totally used in the service of ripping ME off, and how convenient it just happens to have its own serial number on it.

Now, please understand I am not trying to miff anyone by my words. I am simply trying to get the, 'meanings between the lines' out to taunt opinion.

It sorta looks to me as though going with a unit such as the nFusion HD may be the way to go as it has been written here that it has been built to somewhat handle the N3 technology without the use of an add on serialized IHUB, scary, correct? Maybe?

Just looking for a way to remain unseen in the shadows. Thank you guys for being here and allowing me to gather information, vent my frustrations and occasionally get slapped back into reality.

The N-fusion runs IKS and it more or less already has some thing like the Ihub built rite into the N-fusion, but there is no serial numbers to enter unlike the Ihub.

I myself would think they would shut the servers Down that are running this IKS

as FTA PRO said in his reply instead of coming after the little guy!
