I think some of the porn channels have been transfered to N3. I am no longer getting many of them.

There is a couple of soft core channels left only. If you are still missing HD channels do factory reset and rescan the sat's.

Is there something i need to get the channels in high def the icon never lights up

Make sure your board is detected by receiver and installed properly, here is how.

Press MENU on the SV-8000HD remote and arrow down to “External Module”
and press OK on the remote.
Once your in External Module in the menu, If it was installed correctly, will say
External Module Detected. This is a good sign !!! Arrow down to Normal QPSK
and use right or left arrow and choose “External Module or Built in Tuner” .

**Note Use built in tuner settings to prevent the possibility of overheating. The
module/adapter will work with either Internal or External tuner mode in the menu.

My reciever is recognizing the board installed but still no hd icon light??

Do you notice a difference in picture quality on HD channels or they all look the same. If your receiver is reading the board the HD channels should be coming in High Definition.

I cant tell the difference in quality but is the hd icon suppose to light up or does hd mean high def or hard drive if you were to plug in external hard drive

Yes HD is High Definition and you don't need a hard drive to get the HD channels. Only some channels are HD and many have moved to N3. You should be able to find some working HD channels around 6000's and 9000's.

Does the latest fix the beta one apply to everyone im picking up direct tv or echo 7 and bev and sky mean are they a different sat my reciever is having some channels where there is no pic but you can hear it and the latest fix did not seem to fix this prob please help!!!
