Default Resetting serial number

I havnt had any luck in getting my IHUB to work , so I thought I would reset all the info in the IPCONFIG. I entered all zeros for the serial number and the clicked apply. I then went back in to enter the serial number again but it will only let me enter one digit and it wont move from there. I have tryed resetting the power but same results.

Try reloading latest fix again and see if you can start over.If that doesn't work do a factory default then latest fix and setup everything again.I don't think your receiver is messed up.Just need to be reset.Let us know.

You can also try unhooking your ihub for a couple of min and hook it back up.Once you do that try to setting it up again.

Default Try the following :)

fitterit did you click apply after putting your serial numbers in? Try putting it on channel 200 and leaving it there for a while, you need to make sure your internet is working right. Ihub is up and running pretty good

Yes I did click apply, I have tryed everything I have read about on how to get this going, but no luck. I am connected directly to my modem and yes I have reset that several times. I spoke with the company and they had me switch from DHCP to Static , then zero out Local ip, local port, subnet and gateway. They then had me click apply, then went back in and changed Static back to DHCP and apply again. They had me go back in again and said that once I see all the lines that I zeroed out populated ,that means that the hub is talking to the server. These lines won't populate My internet is working fine, My hub lites are on and the amber one is flickering, but still no luck. My serial number is entered correctly.I will let it set on 200 over nite and see what happens, I am getting 100, 500, 9421 and 9491 with or without the hub. I have also tryed entering in 77.93.75.89 after changing DNS to no and clicking apply, but still no luck.

Default Let's start from square 1 and do this one more time :)

fitterit I know this can be a pain, but I want you one more time to start over and go by all info below one more time, you need port to be set like below, so do a factory default on your receiver and make sure you have downloaded the latest fix and have it unzipped on your desktop and that that is what you have on your receiver and then go through steps 1-10 and let us know

1. Load bin ( over current file if not virgin reciever)

2. Plug dongle/Ihub in

3. U will see prompt that dongle connecting (can take up to 30 secs)

4. Click menu-installation-ipconfig

5. Setting type DHCP

6. USE DNS YES

7. Domain name svftaiks.com

8. Server port 1920

9. PUT IN YOUR SERIAL NUMBER BE CAREFUL THE LETTERS ARE VERY SMALL

Entering serial number for iHub

The serial number for the iHub as well as many electronic devices is in hexidecimal. Hexidecimal (commonly referred to simply as "Hex") only has 16 characters. They are the digits 0 through 9 and the letters A through F. If you look at the serial number for your iHub you will notice the letters are small lower case letters and may be hard to read. For instance the letter "e" may look like a letter "o" with a slash through the middle but trust me it is an "e". When you go to the setup screen for entering the serial number look at the bottom of your screen and you will see a key for which remote buttons to use for the letters. Now just simply enter them and save and you are done

Use the PVR control buttons
there is a guide at bottom of serial # page that tells you
rewind button=A
play button=B
fast forward button=C
stop button=D
arrow right button=E
pause button=F

10. Go to apply and click OK (don’t exit or it wont save you must click apply)

That’s it watch tv

Why do a factory defalt? That will wipe out everything on my receiver, my sat settings, sat list, and channel list.

That is true factory default will reset your receiver to the virgin state and you will have to set up all your settings again but in most cases doing factory default, loading factory file then the latest file fixes the issues. That is of course if all your hardware is working properly and receiver is set up correctly.
