well i fiddled around with the hub today. i took the casing off and looked at the card and components on there. i didnt see any burnt spots or swollen caps to indicate a faulty ihub but you never know about the chips themselves lol. i took the back off the receiver and looked at all the components on it and still didnt find anything super obvious like burnt solder joints or swollen caps. i guess im just fubar till n3 bins come into play or someone comes up with an idea on what to do next. i think you guys have done great with the ideas and what to do and ive tried them all without question! i appreciate all the help you guys have given me. just continue to kick ass!

update on the case of the disappearing ihub for sv8000hd. With a lot of help and patience from san and ekim we tried quite a few things. a lot of power up booting to USB using file clean first, last stand alone update, ihub introduction file and the latest ihub fix release with no luck. also tried turning off lnb power and disconnecting the coax cable. doing a factory reset a couple times in a row, loading file clean, last stand alone, first ihub, and latest ihub fix with no luck still. apparently this worked for the sv360 elite but nothing yet on the sv8000hd. we are still searching the internet for a fix!
i want to take this opportunity to thank san and ekim for all their hard work in helping me resolve this issue. you guys rock! this is the only fta site i have a membership to and i wouldnt change that for anything. putski, ftapro, san, ekim and zero gravity you guys make this site everything it is! i dont know why anyone would go anywhere else also, for the regulars, give these guys a break when asking questions. be patient and they will answer you!!

For those of you that are new to the IHUB let me give you a couple hints that seem to work really good.
1) before you load a new beta file i suggest you shut of you reciever from the back and remove your ihub.Load the new file then reboot and reconnect your IHUB. This seems to stop the problem of "i loaded the new file and now it doesnt work". 2)in your user options change use priority to IHUB (or iks ).this seems to cutt down on the freezing. 3)after loading new files and reconnecting your IHUB let it sit on channel 100 for a cpl minutes. Then when you change to another working channel you wont have to wait as long for the channel to come in. 4) if for some reason you are getting scrambled channel on a working channel go to IPconfig and change dns to no if the line below that says 0.0.0.0 it means one of 2 things.it means either the server is down OR it means that you need to reboot your network. If you are like me and you are running more then a couple things off your router i would suggest trying the router rebooting first.the more things you have running off your router the more often you need to refresh your network. 5)This is mainly for the new IHUB users.the first time you connect your IHUB, if after a few minutes you still get scrambled channel i suggest you reboot your network,9 times outta 10 that is the problem. For those that dont know how to reboot your netwrok here are the steps. 1)turn off reciever from back and unplug both modem and router. 2)plug modem back in after about 10 seconds and allow it to fully reboot. 3)then plug router back in and allow it to fully reboot. 4) now turn on reciever. And this last one seems kinda silly to mention but sometimes people forget. After loading all the files you need then make sure you have everything set up properly in your antenna settings(trust me this does happen).
