Default Helpful IHUB info

For those of you that are new to the IHUB let me give you a couple hints that seem to work really good.
1) before you load a new beta file i suggest you shut of you reciever from the back and remove your ihub.Load the new file then reboot and reconnect your IHUB.
This seems to stop the problem of "i loaded the new file and now it doesnt work".
2)in your user options change use priority to IHUB (or iks ).this seems to cutt down on the freezing.
3)after loading new files and reconnecting your IHUB let it sit on channel 100 for a cpl minutes. Then when you change to another working channel you wont have to wait as long for the channel to come in.
4) if for some reason you are getting scrambled channel on a working channel go to IPconfig and change dns to no if the line below that says 0.0.0.0 it means one of 2 things.it means either the server is down OR it means that you need to reboot your network.
If you are like me and you are running more then a couple things off your router i would suggest trying the router rebooting first.the more things you have running off your router the more often you need to refresh your network.
5)This is mainly for the new IHUB users.the first time you connect your IHUB, if after a few minutes you still get scrambled channel i suggest you reboot your network,9 times outta 10 that is the problem.
For those that dont know how to reboot your netwrok here are the steps.
1)turn off reciever from back and unplug both modem and router.
2)plug modem back in after about 10 seconds and allow it to fully reboot.
3)then plug router back in and allow it to fully reboot.
4) now turn on reciever.
And this last one seems kinda silly to mention but sometimes people forget. After loading all the files you need then make sure you have everything set up properly in your antenna settings(trust me this does happen).

It's either server issue or your network needs to be rebooted. SV server has been freezing earlier today but i think it's your network.

This assumes that you have a operating DSL internet, and the hub is connected to the receiver and internet. The receiver has the current iHub software (.rom) installed. The iHub has been working, but it is no longer. This is what you need to do.
First with all power off, connect the hub to the receiver and internet connection.
Power up in sequence, the internet (modem and router), then the receiver.
After the receiver boots, then with remote goto Menu - Installation - IP Config
The header should say "User options"
Setup should match this post; http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/sonic...tructions.html
Setting type DHCP - USE DNS YES - Domain name svftaiks.com - Server port 1920 - PUT IN YOUR iHUB's SERIAL NUMBER BE CAREFUL THE LETTERS ARE VERY SMALL
Now just simply enter them and Go to "Apply", click "OK".
Once above is done; Go to

"Setting Type" field and change to "Static" (this will allow you to access these fields);
Change the "Local IP" field to all zeros (000.00.0.0)
Change the "Local port" field to all zeros (0000)
Change the "Subnet" field to all zeros (000.000.000.0)
Change the "Gateway" field to all zeros (000.000.0.0)
Go to "Apply", click "OK

Now go to "Setting Type" field and change to "Static"
Go to "Apply", click "OK
Exit out.
The receiver should now be receiving and decoding the channels that are currently listed in the iHub list.
If not receiving, then; Power up in sequence, the internet (modem and router), then the receiver.
After the receiver boots, then with remote goto Menu - Installation - IP Config
The header should say "User options"
The fields previously with zeros should now have digits in them, if so, the hub/receiver is talking to the internet, if not check your internet equipment, and recheck the iHub setup.
