This is the file for Sonicview 8000:

http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/sonic...30-2009-a.html

You can download the iHub Manual with picture instructions from here:

http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/sonic...8000-ihub.html
  • droggo

You have to have the iHub connected as that is the only way to communicate with the Sonicview server.

Default Hope this helps :)

fitterit is your receiver brand new, if not you load the file like below:

1. Load bin ( over current file if not virgin reciever) if receiver is new, load factory file then the May 31 ihub fix and then the latest fix for the Ihub, reason for this is because the very first ihub fix was beta and the second one is not, and all the rest that followed were updates, so you need the second one in your receiver then the last one if your receiver is new only, make sure Ihub is not connected at this time.

2. Plug in dongle/Ihub

3. U will see prompt that dongle/Ihub connecting (can take up to 30 secs)

4. Click menu-installation-ipconfig

5. Setting type DHCP

6. USE DNS YES

7. Domain name svftaiks.com

8. Server port 1920

9. PUT IN YOUR SERIAL NUMBER BE CAREFUL THE LETTERS ARE VERY SMALL

Entering serial number for iHub

The serial number for the iHub as well as many electronic devices is in hexidecimal. Hexidecimal (commonly referred to simply as "Hex") only has 16 characters. They are the digits 0 through 9 and the letters A through F. If you look at the serial number for your iHub you will notice the letters are small lower case letters and may be hard to read. For instance the letter "e" may look like a letter "o" with a slash through the middle but trust me it is an "e". When you go to the setup screen for entering the serial number look at the bottom of your screen and you will see a key for which remote buttons to use for the letters. Now just simply enter them and save and you are done

Use the PVR control buttons
there is a guide at bottom of serial # page that tells you
rewind button=A
play button=B
fast forward button=C
stop button=D
arrow right button=E
pause button=F

10. Go to apply and click OK (don’t exit or it wont save you must click apply)

My receiver is a year old. Here is what I just did. Did a factory defalt, loaded factory file, tuned off A-1 Module, rescanned sats, turned module back on. getting chnls 101 & 500. I then loaded may 31 bin and then the latest IHUb bin. I then did steps 2 thru 10. My IHUB is pluged in to my router, the lits are on at the hub but still not connecting to server. I reset my modem and then my router but still no luck. I think this IHUB is defective and needs to go back. One thing that did happen is that I lost the Two HD channels(9491 & 9421) that I was getting before I did the factory Default.

Default Little more info please :)

What kind of router do you have? Lets try a few more steps, your ihub should be fine. Let me look a little further and see what I can come up with for you to try. Let me know your router type. Do you also have ip config. showing up in your menu? We can get those HD channels back just need to do another scan more than likely, are you 91/110/119? What birds?

i have a linksys wrt54gs also but my ihub doesnt work with my sv8000hd for some reason. when it did work, it connected fine with my linksys. have you tried to install the most recent firmware update for the linksys router?

your ip for the router if you didnt know is 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.1.1 (for some reason its different even on the same routers lol) anyway default login is admin and pw is admin. go to the last tab "status" and check the version number at the top of the list "Firmware Version: v1.52.5 build 002, Jan. 9, 2008" the latest firmware is

07/01/2008

Ver.1.52.6

Download 1.66 MB

(Firmware)

Release Notes

http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/...T54GS/download this would be the link for that firmware

looks like i have an update as well! try to update the firmware and see if that helps out at all. anything is possible right? good luck!
